Scope

This policy explains how One Million Small Startups (OMS2) handles information connected with OMS2.org, current launch communications, charitable donation checkout, fundraising-event links and the forms described below. Third-party websites have their own privacy practices.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, inquiry category, organization, volunteer or partnership interests, availability and message details. Founder interest, volunteer or mentor interest, organization or sponsor inquiries, and general contact requests remain separate public flows. Joining the founder interest list is not a program application.

For form security and delivery records, our systems may also process an IP address, browser or device information, submission time, source page, rate-limit information and email-delivery status.

How we use information

OMS2 uses information to respond to inquiries, maintain the founder interest list, evaluate volunteer and partnership interest, send requested launch or application-readiness updates, administer donation records, coordinate confirmed fundraising events, prevent abuse, troubleshoot delivery and meet legal or operational obligations.

Donations, events and payment providers

Stripe processes charitable donation checkout. OMS2 does not ask you to place complete payment-card details in its own forms. Stripe may provide transaction identifiers and payment status needed for checkout and contribution records. Confirmed event registration links may lead to Quborly, which processes information under its own policy. Event tickets, sponsorships and charitable donations are separate transaction categories.

Email communications and marketing choices

If you request updates or submit an inquiry, OMS2 may send confirmations, responses and relevant launch communications. You may opt out of optional marketing or update messages through the instructions in the message or by contacting OMS2. Transactional, security or legally required messages may still be sent when applicable.

Analytics, cookies and spam protection

When configured, OMS2 uses Google tag services to measure page use and non-identifying conversion events such as donation-button clicks, completed donation returns, accepted form flows, event-registration clicks and social-venture link clicks. Analytics event payloads must not include names, email addresses, free-text messages or payment-session identifiers.

The site may use essential cookies or similar storage for security and private administrator sessions. Browser, network and rate-limit signals, plus a hidden form field, help detect automated submissions. You can control nonessential cookies through browser settings, although blocking essential storage may affect restricted site functions.

Service providers and disclosures

OMS2 may disclose limited information to configured hosting, database, email-delivery, analytics, spam-protection and payment providers that support the purposes described here. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or security, or in connection with an authorized organizational transition. OMS2 does not state that it sells personal information.

OMS2.org does not currently embed third-party media. Links to fundraising-event listings, Battarbox or other third-party services take you to sites OMS2 does not control. A link does not make the third party’s privacy practices those of OMS2. Review the destination’s policy before submitting information or completing a transaction. If third-party content is embedded in the future, the provider may receive technical information such as an IP address, browser details and the referring page.

Retention and security

OMS2 retains information only as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, ongoing communications, operational records, dispute prevention and applicable legal, tax or accounting obligations. Exact retention periods depend on the record type and have not been published as fixed periods. OMS2 uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Access, correction and deletion requests

You may ask OMS2 to access, correct or delete information you submitted. OMS2 may need to verify the request and may retain information when required for legal, tax, accounting, security or operational recordkeeping. Privacy rights can vary by location.

Children’s privacy

OMS2.org is directed to adults and is not intended to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child submitted information, contact OMS2 so the situation can be reviewed.

Changes to this policy

OMS2 may update this policy as its website, launch activities or legal obligations change. The effective and last-updated dates above identify the published version.
