Program terms and governance

Nonprofit and donor compliance

  • Donations support program launch through events and community fundraising.
  • Donor receipts and financial reporting are provided through standard nonprofit workflows.
  • For event-related contributions, deductible amounts exclude the value of benefits received.
  • Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Commercial program terms

  • Accelerator pricing and equity are finalized only in signed agreements.
  • Founder eligibility and acceptance depend on stage fit and review outcomes.
  • Program participation does not guarantee grants, investment, or funding approvals.

How the accelerator relates to the nonprofit

The accelerator is operated through a for-profit arm that is 100% owned by One Million Small Startups Inc. (501(c)(3)).

This structure allows us to run commercial startup services while keeping operations aligned with our nonprofit mission.

Net proceeds from the for-profit arm support mission programs, including grants for entrepreneurs.

Donations are charitable contributions; accelerator fees and equity terms are commercial program terms.
