1. Our Commitment
We believe that everyone, regardless of ability, should be able to participate in nonprofit fundraising and support causes they care about. Accessibility is not just about compliance—it's about creating an inclusive platform that empowers all users.
2. Conformance Status
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and user-friendly for everyone.
2.1 Conformance Levels
- Level A: The minimum level of conformance (Basic)
- Level AA: Our target level (Enhanced) - addresses the biggest barriers
- Level AAA: The highest level (Ideal) - we aim for this where possible
3. Accessibility Features
3.1 Keyboard Navigation
- All functionality is available using a keyboard
- Tab order follows a logical sequence
- Focus indicators are clearly visible
- Skip navigation link available (press Tab on any page)
- Keyboard shortcuts don't conflict with assistive technologies
3.2 Screen Reader Support
- Semantic HTML for proper structure
- ARIA labels for interactive elements
- Alt text for all meaningful images
- Form labels properly associated with inputs
- Status messages announced to screen readers
- Tested with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver
3.3 Visual Design
- High contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- Dark mode support for light sensitivity
- Resizable text up to 200% without loss of functionality
- Color is not used as the only means of conveying information

While we strive for full accessibility, we acknowledge current limitations:
- Some third-party payment forms (Stripe) may have accessibility gaps - we're working with them to improve this
- Complex data visualizations may require alternative text descriptions
- Some legacy campaign pages created by organizers may not meet all accessibility standards

7. Third-Party Content
Our platform allows event organizers to create their own content. While we provide accessible tools and guidelines, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of all user-generated content. We encourage organizers to:
- Provide alt text for images
- Use descriptive link text
- Write clear, concise descriptions
- Ensure sufficient color contrast
- Structure content with headings
